| Nalhati Municipality stretches over an area over an area of 13.81.sq.  Km. It is bounded by Khanpur village in North, Brahmani River in South,  Kalitha village in the East and Amali-Bahara village in the west.  Panagar-Moregram highway is passed over in the eastern middle portation  in the south and N. H 34 in moregram in the north. It’s adjacent to  Andal and Ranigang of Burdwan district and the town and is on the  Sainthia-Andal Rail line connecting Howrah-Delhi and Howrah-Assam main  line of Eastern Railway.
